These Terms and Conditions of Use will be accompanied by a link to the Privacy Policy, making it an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use. Therefore, we encourage you to take the time to carefully read the entire following Terms and Conditions of Use, as it will establish a legally binding agreement between you and Talbots.

2. Agreement to the Terms and Conditions

Talbots (referred to as "we" or "our") is a platform created and operated by Mr. Tan H. Nguyen and colleagues, accessible through the domain (referred to as the "website"). Through this website, we provide services for analyzing, understanding, and evaluating the content of text generation systems using research articles published in English-language scientific journals.

By accessing, viewing, and using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy, please refrain from using the website and any other services provided through our platform.

We do not require you to register an account before using our services. However, we do have the following requirements:

  4. Maker List: This button provides access to a list of scientific articles that have been searched or scanned on the website or our services.
  5. Visual Data: This allows you to access an overview page of the website.
  6. Vietnam: When you see this information on our website or services, it means you are accessing the website or services in Vietnam. This data is displayed based on your cookies and IP.
  7. About: This is the information page about the Talbots project and other services we provide.
  8. Article: This is a link to the journal where Talbots scientific research articles are published.
  9. Open source: This is a link to the open-source information of the Talbots library published on the PyPi platform.
  10. Privacy: This is the page containing our Privacy Policy.
  11. API: It is a collaborative research program that we provide to individuals and organizations. By accessing this button, you will be redirected to a registration form. To participate in the program, you need to provide the required information and agree to all cooperation agreements. For more details about this program, you can contact us via email.

5. Rights of Use

  1. Trademarks, Logos, Images, Charts: We own the Talbots trademark, logo, and all images and charts displayed on our various services. The license granted here does not include the right to use the Talbots trademark or any other trademarks on our services without explicit permission from the trademark owner (us or third-party partners).
  2. Using the Services: By accessing and using the services, we grant you a non-exclusive right to use the services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Use. You must comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use and all applicable laws when using our services.
  3. Feedback: We highly appreciate your feedback, comments, and suggestions. If you provide any such feedback, we have the right to use it without any restrictions or compensation to you.
  4. Third-Party Services: Any third-party software or services that you use in connection with the services must comply with their own separate terms and conditions, and we are not responsible for any third-party products.
  5. Limitations and Restrictions: When using our services, you are not permitted to:
    • Using the services in a manner that violates, misappropriates, or infringes upon the rights of any individual or entity;
    • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, translating, or attempting to discover the source code or underlying components of the website or services (except where prohibited by applicable law);
    • Any information or outputs generated by the AI model provided on the website or services do not represent our general standpoint, and we are not liable for any issues arising from them;
    • Buying, selling, or transferring API keys without prior consent from us;
    • Providing false information regarding age, gender, affiliation, or email for services that require registration. In the event that we detect any fraudulent behavior, we reserve the right to restrict certain functions, impose temporary or permanent bans on your account without prior notice;
    • Using the information or any outputs from the AI model provided on the website or services for the purpose of propaganda, personal attacks, or targeting individuals, organizations, or government agencies. If any actions are found to violate these terms, we will permanently ban your account and notify the relevant authorities for legal resolution.

6. Contents

Your content: You must provide input content (Input) for the Service and receive content generated and returned from our Service's database or AI model (Output). The input content and output content are collectively referred to as Content. As the legal relationship between the parties, you will own all Input. Based on these Terms and Conditions, we provide you with all rights and benefits to the Output. This means you will have the right to use the Output for any purpose, including commercial purposes such as selling or publishing, if you comply with these Terms and Conditions. We may use the Content to provide and maintain the Service, comply with current laws, and enforce our policies. You will be responsible for the Content, including ensuring that it does not violate any current laws or these Terms and Conditions.

Similarity of content: Due to our services operating based on machine learning models, the Output may not be unique among users. Our service can generate similar outputs. For example, if the input to the Service is "Who are the authors of Talbots?" the Output will be "Tan H. Nguyen, Thien Q. Tran, Nguyen Huy Tan." Other users may also ask similar questions and receive similar answers as above. Therefore, these similar contents will not be considered as your content.

Using content to improve the service: We will use the content you provide or access through our API for research, development, or improvement of our Service. In the case that you agree to these Terms and Conditions, you also agree to grant us the right to use the content you provide or access through our API. You can find more information on how we use your content. We exclude all liability for copyrights, intellectual property, or rewards for your content. If you do not want your content to be used to improve the Service, you can choose not to participate by filling out the form provided. Please note that in some cases, this may restrict some functionalities or prohibit your access to and use of our Service.

Accuracy of information: Based on the characteristics and nature of machine learning models and AI, we do not guarantee the accuracy of the information provided by our Service. Using our Service in certain situations may result in inaccurate output that does not accurately reflect human beings, locations, or the truth of the information. Therefore, you need to evaluate the accuracy of any Output appropriate to your use case, including using human assessments of the Output. We continuously work to improve our Service to make it more accurate, reliable, secure, and beneficial.

7. Fees and Payment

All of our services are provided completely FREE of charge to the community for research and academic purposes. Therefore, we will not charge any fees during the user's usage process. However, operating and developing the service will incur significant costs, so we encourage you to consider making a small donation to support the continued operation of our service. In this case, you should be aware that:
  1. You need to fill out a form for this Sponsor, and you will be required to provide some personal information for this process.
  2. All donations will be publicly disclosed in the Sponsorship list (with your consent).
  3. The donation fees will be based on voluntary contributions in accordance with your personal or organizational financial conditions.
  4. Your actual donation fee will be the fee excluding 10% VAT as required by current laws and other fees, including currency conversion fees, transfer fees, etc.
  5. We accept all types of currencies, including USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, JPY, NZD, EUR, GBP, SEK, DKK, NOK, SGD, CZK, HKD, MXN, PLN, RUB, TRY, ZAR, CNH, VND, BTC for your donation fees. In case you use a currency not listed above, please convert it to a valid currency before making a donation.
  6. All donation fees to us are non-refundable under any circumstances, so you need to carefully review all information before proceeding with the payment process. You will be responsible for this donation fee.

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  1. Confidentiality: During using the Services, you may have access to Confidential Information belonging to us and third parties. You agree to use this Confidential Information solely for the purpose of utilizing the Services as permitted by these Terms. You are not allowed to disclose Confidential Information to any third party and must exercise the same level of care in protecting Confidential Information as you would for your own sensitive information, using at least reasonable care. Confidential Information includes non-public information designated as confidential by us or third parties, or information that should reasonably be considered confidential under the given circumstances. This includes software, technical specifications, and other non-public information. Confidential Information does not include information that:

    • is publicly available without any fault on your part;
    • you already possess without any confidentiality obligations prior to receiving it under these Terms;
    • is lawfully disclosed to you by a third party without any confidentiality obligations; or
    • you independently developed without using Confidential Information.


    You may disclose Confidential Information when required by law or a valid court or government order, provided that you provide us with reasonable prior written notice and make reasonable efforts to limit the scope of disclosure. Whenever possible, you should assist us in challenging any disclosure requirements.

  2. Data Protection: If you process personal data while using the Services, you must comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations. You are responsible for providing legally adequate privacy notices and obtaining necessary consents for the processing of such data. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are processing personal data in accordance with applicable law. If you discover any vulnerabilities or breaches related to your use of the Services, you must promptly notify us and provide detailed information about the vulnerability or breach.
  3. Processing of Personal Data: If you use the Services to process personal data, you must provide legally adequate privacy notices and obtain necessary consents for the processing of such data. You represent and warrant that you are processing personal data in compliance with applicable laws. If you will be using our API for processing "personal data," you must comply with our Privacy Policy.

9. Term and Termination

Termination; Suspension: These Terms become effective upon your first use of the Services and remain in effect until terminated. You have the right to terminate these Terms at any time, for any reason, by discontinuing the use of the Services and Content. We have the right to terminate these Terms for any reason by providing you with a notice of at least 30 days in advance. We may terminate these Terms immediately upon notifying you if you materially breach Usage Requirements, Confidentiality, Security and Data Protection, Dispute Resolution, or General Terms, if there are changes in relationships with third-party technology providers beyond our control, or to comply with legal requirements or government requests. We may suspend your access to the Services if you fail to comply with these Terms, if your use poses a security risk to us or any third party, or if we suspect fraudulent activity or potential liability to us or any third party.

Effect on Termination: Upon termination, you must cease using the Services, and if instructed by us, either return or destroy any Confidential Information promptly. Certain sections of these Terms that, by their nature, should survive termination or expiration will remain in effect, including but not limited to Contents, Confidentiality and Data Protection, Term and Termination, and Disclaimer of Warranties.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

General Disclaimer: The use of our Services is at your own risk. We provide the Services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Services, including but not limited to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability for any purpose.

No Warranties: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Third-Party Content: Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or content. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, legality, or availability of these third-party resources. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damages or losses arising from the use of such third-party resources.
